- Open a new M1 Invest account within the promotional period.
- Fund the account with at least $10,000 (or more) within 14 days of account opening.
- Hold the deposit until the payout date (6 months in the future).

The Fine Print
- Starting from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2022 (the “Promotion Period”), all new users who have never registered for an M1 user account and meet the eligibility requirements described below will be eligible to receive a one-time cash reward deposited into your newly opened M1 taxable invest account (the “Promotion”).
- To be eligible for this Promotion, and during the Promotion Period, you must (1) have never registered for an M1 user account; (2) have successfully opened an M1 investment account; (3) have not used a new account opening referral link to open an M1 account; AND (4) have made an aggregate deposit of at least $10,000 via ACH to an M1 taxable investment account within the first fourteen (14) days of New User Sign-up Date.
You are only eligible to receive one Promotional Credit under this Promotion. The applicable Promotional Credit will be deposited into your M1 investment account the last day of the sixth month after the New User Sign-up Date (the “Pay-out Date”) provided that you satisfy the conditions stated herein. For example, if New User Sign-up Date is January 14, 2023, you must make the Deposited Value within the first fourteen (14) calendar days of New User Sign-up Date. The Pay-out Date will be the last day of the month that is six months after the New User Sign-up Date, so in this example July 31, 2023.
Final Thoughts
M1 Finance offered a better bonus (from $30 to $500 for deposit of $1000 to $50K+). That was a mediocre bonus at best. This one is even worse that the previous bonus. The holding period has been increased to 6 months. So, if we look at the lowest tier, you get $75 for depositing $10,0000 and holding it for 6 months which is equivalent to a 1.5% return. You get better returns by simply depositing that money in banks. Most competitors in the brokerage/invest/trading field offers a better bonus to deposit ratio.
